HELLO!
I’m Haley Gilbertson, a 20 year-old student at the University of North Alabama majoring in English with a focus in Literature and a minor in Professional Writing. I love my university an unhealthy amount (the limit does not exist), and I never stop being excited about the fact that I get to serve it as Miss UNA. After walking across the stage, my goal is to attend graduate school somewhere (?), teach English courses at the collegiate level, and publish stuff along the way. Although my career goals are super ambiguous and unspecific at this era of my life, they are fueled by passion and ambition. And that’s what’s first and foremost.
Aside from reading and writing, I am an avid fan of lots and lots of things. I love exploring cities, petting cats, drinking coffee, Harry Potter, shopping, pastel colors, being with friends, good memes, Disney World, wandering around bookstores until closing time, and taking pictures. More tenderly, I’m head over heels in love with people, intentional human connections, and the unpredictability of life. I serve an immensely powerful and loving God, and I strive to glorify Him through each step of the way. I know that every person is given an innate, unique talent. Through mine, I hope to be a light. I hope that my light proves contagious and that this attitude is evident in all that I am.
Oh, and I’m a Gemini and an ENFP if that sort of thing intrigues you as it does me. I really don’t know which Hogwarts house I’d be in since that’s SUCH a definitive qualifier. Since I see myself in all four of them, I guess that makes me the headmaster. I am Dumbledore. Yes, you may now refer to me as Dumbledore.
